Sitrep - Day 22 of Russia's Bloody Invasion of Ukraine
Putin attacks movie theater Mariupol housing hundreds of Ukrainian civilians
Russian forces dropped a bomb on a theater in the besieged city of Mariupol which was housing hundreds of civilians, including children.
Aerial photos show how the word children was written in large letters in Russian on the ground in front and rear of the theater.
The theater had been housing at least 500 civilians, according to Human Rights Watch.
Fortunately, despite pictures of devastation at the scene, many civilians who were sheltering there are thought to have survived in a basement that withstood the attack.
Also on Wednesday, 13 people waiting in a bread line were reportedly killed by Russian shelling. Russia said the incident was a hoax.
Meanwhile, Russian forces were filmed leaving the occupied territory of Ossetia in Georgia, headed for the Ukrainian front in a rumbling convoy of tanks and other heavy armor.
The video footage, posted on social media from different viewpoints, seemed to confirm that after three weeks of heavy fighting, and losses, Moscow is bringing in fresh troops from other Russian-occupied areas, in addition to Arab mercenaries.
