104 Days of War - Fierce fighting but Russians gaining ground in East

June 7, 2022 - Ukrainian troops are engaged in fierce street fighting with Russian soldiers in the industrial city of Severodonetsk, while other towns are under constant shelling, as the Kremlin pushes for control in the eastern Donbas region.

Intense Russian bombardment of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in the eastern Donbas region has turned them into “dead cities”, President Zelensky has told journalists.

Zelensky added in his nightly video address that his troops still had “every chance” of holding Severodonetsk despite being heavily outnumbered.
