Russian claims of using their newest hypersonic missile to strike an arms depot and later a Ukrainian training camp has raised some doubts among western observers.

It just doesn’t add up, say some analysts.

On Saturday, CNN cited U.S. officials confirming what Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed:

That Moscow launched Kh-47M2 Kinzhal “hypersonic missiles” at a military munitions warehouse in western Ukraine near Poland — the first known use of this kind of weapon in combat.

But, this story is increasingly creating doubts.
