March 7, 2022 - Russia announced bizarre new “humanitarian corridors” for Ukrainians trapped by Russian bombing and shelling to go to Russia itself and its neighboring puppet, and invasion staging area, Belarus.
Kyiv quickly dismissed this absurd offer as “completely immoral,” Reuters reported.
This follows failed ceasefires to let civilians escape the besieged city of Mariupol which is under relentless Russian bombardment. Hundreds of thousands of people are reportdly trapped there without food and water, or medical care.
The UN said earlier on Sunday that more than 1.5 million people have fled Ukraine into neighbouring countries since the Russian invasion.
According to Polish border guard sources, over one million refugees have crossed into Poland since Russian troops invaded almost two weeks ago.
