Putin's War on Ukraine - Day 21
Russian offensive stalled with high losses and dwindling supplies
Russia’s military is still struggling to make significant advances, with the U.S. governmnt noting its ground forces had made “limited to no progress” in recent days.
Armoured units remain about 15km-20km to the north-west of Kyiv and about 20km-30km east of the capital.
Moscow has not captured any of Ukraine’s 10 biggest cities following its invasion that began on February 24, the largest assault on a European state since 1945.
But the Russian army continues to shell and bomb cities, kill civilians, and create refugees and misery.
Residents of the pro-Russian breakaway region of Donbas are reportedly paying for their loyalty to Moscow with conscription into the Russian army to replace Putin's dead soldiers.
Meanwhile Russia is creating two training camps for its mercenaries in Belarus.
