Day 33 - Fear of Russian Partition of Ukraine Grows
Russians solidifying positions in South and East as Ukraine holds fast and publishes list of Russian spies.
Ukrainians continue to successfully resist in most places along the battle front with the Russian invaders, and even counterattack effectively in critical locations, but Russians enter the heavily destroyed strategic southern port city of Mariupol and solidify Eastern and southern strongholds.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also says Russian forces are still attacking the capital, Kyiv, despite their supposed new focus on the Donbas, and after being driven out of the Kyiv suburbs of Irpin.
Russian troops remain in control of Kyiv's northern suburbs. The situation remains "very difficult" in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Donbass and southern regions, Zelensky added.
Ukraine also accuses Russia of forcibly deporting its people from war-ravaged cities to Russian-held territory, or all the way to Russia.
Satellite images show a temporary camp east of Mariupol that is housing an estimated 5,000 people.
