March 26, 2022 - Diplomatic talks between Kyiv and Moscow continued as the Kremlin claims its limiting its ambitions to consolidating gains around territory in breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine claimed by Russian-backed separatists.

These Russian-backed forces have been fighting Ukrainian forces in Donbas and the adjoining Luhansk region since 2014, with clandestine support from Moscow (aka - ‘Little Green Men’ - special Russian troops sent in without identification).

Moscow unilaterally declared their ‘independence’ - just before the Feb. 24 invasion.

No country in the West has recognized this transparently illegal move by Putin.

Ukrainian forces have also successfully retaken several towns east of Kyiv, including Luk’ yanivka, while on the far east of the country, Ukrainian forces have repelled Russian attempts to encircle Izyum.
